World Music Day

Faliraki Centre - 21:00
The Fête de la Musique, also known as World Music Day, is a music festival taking place on 21st of June 2011 in Faliraki. The idea was first broached in 1976 by American musician Joel Cohen, then employed by the national French radio station France Musique. Cohen proposed an all-night music celebration at the moment of the summer solstice. The idea was taken up by French Music and Dance director Maurice Fleuret for Minister of Culture Jack Lang in 1981 and first took place in 1982.

Philharmonic Orchestra

On the 2nd of July 2011, Kalithies-Faliraki community invites you to a joint performance of two major Philharmonic Orchestras. Our local Philharmonic together with the fabulous Philharmonic Orchestra of Mitropoleos Tamassou and Cyprus.

3rd Beach Soccer Tournament

The Municipal Sports Organisation in collaboration with Kalithies Local Community are organising the 3rd annual Beach Soccer tournament in Faliraki. The tournament will take part on the 8th, 9th and 10th of July 2011. Everybody over 16 years old may take part (amateur or professional).
The event and playing areas will be on Faliraki Beach, between Chaplins and Sotos Water Sports.

The event will take place on Saturday 10th September 2011 at 21:00.
We will be happy to see you all then at Faliraki Square, participating in one of the most cultural joint event.
